MIYAR | معيار ("MIYAR", "we", "us") is an independent furniture engineering consultancy based in New Damietta, Egypt. We provide technical office services, shop drawings, work orders, quantity surveying and manufacturing consultancy to furniture manufacturers, showrooms, engineering offices and fit-out companies, as well as training courses for individuals.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through our website miyar.info, our social media pages and advertising (including Meta/Facebook and Instagram lead forms), WhatsApp and email, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We only collect the data needed to respond to your enquiry and deliver our services:

• Contact and business details you give us in the website inquiry form, a Meta lead form, WhatsApp or email: full name, company name, job title, business type, phone number and work email.
• Project information you choose to share: product type, quantities, timeline, drawings, design files, photos and any message you send.
• Course enrolment details for individuals: name, phone, email and the course you are interested in.
• Technical data collected automatically by our hosting provider when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and approximate location, used only for security and to keep the site running.
• Advertising data when you interact with our ads on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram): Meta may share with us the information you submit in a lead form and standard engagement data as described in Meta's own policies.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not collect payment-card numbers through the website.

• To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation or proposal, and deliver the engineering services or course you asked for.
• To communicate with you about your project by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• To enrol you in a training course and send you course information.
• To send you occasional updates about MIYAR services, only if you asked for them; you can opt out at any time.
• To measure and improve our advertising on Meta platforms (for example, to know that a lead form was submitted).
• To keep our website secure and comply with legal obligations.

The legal basis for processing is your consent (when you submit a form or contact us), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request, and our legitimate interest in running and promoting our business.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, under their own privacy commitments:

• Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram) — when you submit a lead form or interact with our ads.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and Google (Gmail) — for messages and email you exchange with us.
• Netlify — hosting of miyar.info.
• Professional advisers or authorities — only where required by law.

Some of these providers process data outside Egypt. By contacting us through them you acknowledge this transfer.

Our website uses only a small local storage entry to remember your language choice (English or Arabic). It does not use advertising cookies by itself.

We may use the Meta Pixel or similar tools on miyar.info to measure the results of our Meta ads. When active, these tools set cookies controlled by Meta; you can manage them through your Meta ad preferences and your browser settings.

Enquiry and lead data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless it becomes part of a project file. Project files, drawings and work orders are kept for as long as needed to support the work we delivered and to meet accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data earlier (see section 8).

Your data is stored in password-protected accounts and devices, and the website is served over HTTPS. Client drawings and project files are shared only with the MIYAR engineers working on your project. Client names and commercial details are removed from any work we show publicly on the website.

You can at any time ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.
• Withdraw consent you gave earlier.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@miyar.info or message us on WhatsApp. We will answer within 30 days. For Meta lead forms, you can also delete your submission through Meta's tools.

We process personal data in line with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and, where it applies to visitors from other countries, the data protection rules of those countries.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
